[aubio-user] Using Aubioonset with Jack and a shotgun microphone

Hi, I am using aubioonset to detect onsets.

I am using the default settings, so I just cmd line do:

aubioonset

No arguments because I am using Jack Audio Connection Kit.

I was using a cheap 11 dollar Sony microphone and captured many onsets. I
have switch to a shotgun microphone and now am not capturing any onsets at
all.

So I changed the threshold of aubioonset to

aubioonset -t 0.001

Is there any to talk to the running aubioonset process and see its current
configuration settings from cmd line? (I am using Ubuntu)

Is there any other settings you could suggest I tweak to start getting
onsets with my shotgun microphone?
