trouble with make on OS X

Thanks for the reply, and sorry for asking a question about the
non-latest version. I realized I didn't have the latest version after I
sent the email. 0.3.1 installed without problems on my OS X. I ran
into the same problem Ed did concerning the PD plugins. I'll try your
suggestions and let you know if I have any luck.
